About Exam 7

Exam 7 is the first of the three CAS fellowship exams and is offered once a year in the spring. The 2026 syllabus overhaul renamed it Advanced Estimation of Claims Liabilities and refocused it on reserving methods, a change that coincided with a sharp break in its pass-rate history.
