Lookup tool
Actuarial Name Lookup
Search official SOA and CAS publications by candidate name: SOA exam pass lists and ASA/CERA/FSA recognition lists, CAS historical passing-candidate lists, and CAS New Member Lists with ACAS and FCAS conferrals. Every result links to the official source document it was parsed from. This is a search tool, not a directory: there are no per-person pages, and results exist only on this page while you search. The SOA and CAS indexes are separate; search the one you need below.
SOA lookup
Official Society of Actuaries pass lists and ASA/CERA/FSA recognition lists, 2007 to present.
CAS lookup
Official CAS passing-candidate lists (Spring 2017 through Summer 2025, historical: CAS stopped publishing names with Fall 2025) plus ACAS/CERA/FCAS conferrals from the official CAS New Member Lists, May 2017 onward.
Matching is exact on name parts (accents and punctuation ignored), in either first-last or last-first order; a single name matches first names and last names alike. This tool needs JavaScript; the underlying records remain available from the SOA and CAS at the official links below.
About this tool
Records come exclusively from documents the SOA and CAS publish themselves: SOA exam results, result archives, and new ASA/CERA/FSA recognition lists; CAS passing-candidate PDFs and New Member Lists. A listed pass, recognition, or conferral is a matter of official public record; this tool only makes those existing publications searchable in one place. Names are matched exactly as listed, so a person listed under different name forms can appear as separate entries (clearly compatible middle-name variants are merged conservatively and disclose the listed forms), and different people sharing a name are indistinguishable here. The SOA and CAS indexes are kept separate: a name that appears in both is two independent sets of records, not a linked profile.
Want your name removed from this search? Ask via the contact page and we will suppress it. Suppression removes the name from this tool's index at the next rebuild; it does not and cannot alter the SOA or CAS official publications, and site-wide aggregate statistics are unaffected.
Official SOA sources included
The SOA index currently covers 456,147 exam pass-list entries and 45,905 ASA, CERA, and FSA recognitions, parsed from 1,299 official SOA documents (last refreshed July 7, 2026). The three source collections:
- Recent exam results - the current published pass lists.
- Exam result archives - historical pass lists back to 2007.
- New ASA, CERA, and FSA recognitions - the monthly credential lists.
Aggregate analytics built from the same data - difficulty by sitting, exam transitions, and travel time to ASA and FSA - are on the SOA exam analytics page.
Official CAS sources included
The CAS index covers 28,568 parsed pass-list entries and 7,779 ACAS, CERA, and FCAS conferrals across 128 official CAS PDFs, with searchable listed names in the generated lookup (last refreshed with the current shard build). Exam coverage is Spring 2017 through Summer 2025; designation coverage is May 2017 onward.
CAS states that beginning with the Fall 2025 administration it no longer publishes a list of passing candidates, so the exam index is historical and frozen. CAS does still publish official New Member Lists, so ACAS, CERA, and FCAS conferrals remain covered. This lookup does not use CAS public-directory profiles.
- CAS Exams Results & Summary of Exam Statistics - official index page for exam results, historical passing candidates, New Member Lists, and current statistics.
- Actuarial Exam Pass Rates - aggregate CAS and SOA pass rates, including current CAS statistics after passing-name lists ended.
Frequently asked questions
How do I search actuarial exam results by name?
Type a candidate's name into the SOA or CAS box above and search. Matching is exact on each name part, ignoring accents and punctuation, and works in either first-last or last-first order. Results list every official pass, recognition, or conferral on record for that name, each linked to its official source document.
Are these official passing candidate names?
Yes. Every entry comes from a list the SOA or CAS published itself - exam pass lists, result archives, recognition lists, or New Member Lists. This tool only makes those existing public records searchable in one place; it adds no names of its own.
Does this include designations?
Yes. The SOA index covers new ASA, CERA, and FSA recognition lists; the CAS index covers ACAS, CERA, and FCAS conferrals from the official New Member Lists. Cards show the exam-to-credential journey, and where enough peers share a cohort, how a candidate's pace compares.
What does "pace vs cohort" mean on a CAS card?
It compares the months from a candidate's first listed CAS upper-exam pass to a designation against peers whose first listed pass fell in a similar window and who reached the same designation. Because CAS exam coverage starts in Spring 2017, the comparison only renders for journeys that begin with an entry-level exam (MAS-I, MAS-II, Exam 5, or Exam S), and the clock starts at the first listed CAS pass, not preliminary exams.
Does this include current CAS exam results?
The CAS exam index includes the complete historical passing-candidate PDFs CAS published through Summer 2025. Beginning with Fall 2025, CAS stopped publishing full passing-candidate lists, so newer CAS exam results remain aggregate-only on the pass-rates hub. New Member Lists are still published, so designation conferrals stay current.
How can someone request name removal?
Ask via the contact page. We suppress the name from this tool's search index at the next rebuild. Suppression cannot alter the SOA or CAS official publications, and it does not affect site-wide aggregate statistics.
